Brink’s CEO a Women in Business Honoree

Grace Garvin-LittleVirginia Beach, VA: Grace Garvin-Little, CEO and Co-founder of Brink Records, has been selected as an Inside Business 2019 Women In Business honoree. Grace has been awarded the prestigious 2019 Women In Business Award for her outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the 757 business community.

Grace leads Brink Records, a dynamic independent record label that also produces several events including one of the most highly-acclaimed music conferences in the world, East Coast Music Conference (ECMC). Brink also does work in other content creation and plans to launch a music and tech incubator. Grace leads the team in day-to-day operations and balances the company culture of idea-sharing with her own strong drive to create. She is deeply committed to gender and racial inclusiveness, a characteristic most readily seen in the ECMC programming.

“We’re all so proud of Grace, both in the company and among our partner organizations. Her founding vision and determination have led us forward when a lot of others would have given up. She’s remained determined to build a great business that does great good and this award is an acknowledgment of her early success on that path,” said Drew Little, COO and Head of A&R for Brink.

Grace’s plan for Brink includes dramatic growth in its artist roster, licensing, distribution, and events. The incubator is set to launch in 2020 and is structured to generate significant content in a variety of media to promote Hampton Roads as a national leader in content creation and artist development.

In the events space, ECMC is on track to become one of the world’s largest music conferences. Grace has developed strategies to manage that growth in a way that maintains service, diversity, and overall quality. Also, under Grace’s leadership, Brink is launching several festivals with charitable components over the next few years. The first of these will be Sirens of Summer, a multi-month campaign to promote the ERA and women’s rights, culminating in a major festival and rally.

Now in its 17th year, the Women In Business Awards honor the outstanding accomplishments and career successes of women in the Hampton Roads business community. The recognition banquet is December 10, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. at the Westin Town Center in Virginia Beach.
